  unite the nation!“ This claim is an ambitious one\, particularly when m
 ade in South Africa\, a country riddled with problems of social segregatio
 n. Besides being an ambitious claim it can be regarded as strikingly pecul
 iar in the context it was uttered\, which in my case was the description o
 f what a professional dance company is about. To me\, dance isn´t among t
 he activities that are commonly associated with the solution of serious so
 cial issues. Nonetheless\, when Lwazi told me that the Kangaroo Zulu Dance
 rs aim was to unite the nation\, I didn´t have to ask what he meant. I we
 lcomed this statement when I heard it. But not only did Lwazis statement m
 ade me happy and proud to participate in their noble purpose to unite the 
 nation. I also had no doubt in my mind that they could actually and signif
 icantly participate in this colossal venture.\\r\\nFinding and naming the 
 actual mechanisms and forms that their dances contain\, which can be descr
 ibed and experienced as „uniting people“\, turned out to be the resear
 ch question I took upon me to answer. I would welcome any interested peopl
 e and constructive criticisms at my presentation of my endeavour to do so 
 on the 20th of May 2020.
