DESCRIPTION:This public event at the Museum der Kulturen Basel will open wi
 th a discussion between Mark Goodale (University of Lausanne)\, Anna Schmi

 sity of Basel) on Anthropology and the New World Order.  The discussion w
 ill be followed by an apéro. The event marks the launch of Ethnographic I
 magination Basel (EIB)\, a podcast initiative of the Institute of Social A
 nthropology at the University of Basel. EIB encourages broader public enga
 gement with anthropology by promoting ethnography as both a method of scho
 larly inquiry and a mode of political imagination. It aims to foster criti
 cal reflection on the shifting paradigms of the present through alternativ
 e concepts and questions\, offering tools for deeper intercultural underst
