New Publications in Medical Anthropology - Public Health with Co-Author Piet van Eeuwijk

Three articles as outcomes of research cooperation in the intersection Medical Anthropology and Public Health/Epidemiology

The Institute of Social Anthropology and the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute share a long time of joint health research including qualitative studies. Two articles cover the topic 'pre-term babies and quality of their biomedical health care in Vietnam' (from a perspective of health economy and maternal medicine, and of health service management), and one article deals with trypanosomiasis (sleeping sickness) in Angola and its study of medicinal plants and herbal treatments (from a perspective of ethnomedicine, ethnobotany and ethnopharmacology). All publications are co-authored by Piet van Eeuwijk who was partly responsible for the research design and study period.
